Peaches

Peaches are fuzzy on the outside and sweet on the inside. I have always loved peaches. I grew up around all kinds of peach trees that grew in our yard when I was a kid. The blooms are so beautiful, and they have the sweetest smell. I could not wait to see the small peaches start to come on the branches. Before we new it they were ripe and ready for harvest. I couldn’t wait for them to start to fall from the tree, they were really ripe and juicy. There are so many things that can be done with peaches. I really wanted to learn to make preserves, but my grandmother always did it and I didn’t understand how she did it all. I guess I will have to look it up so I can learn on my own. I miss those times though just watching her make all of the delicious pastries she would make for us to enjoy.

I would stand by the stove and watch her cook, and bake stuff. I remember when she would make banana pudding on the stove, she really didn’t use the instant stuff very often. This is something else I am going to have to look up and learn how to make. Homemade peach pie is another favorite desert of mine. Well, this may not be a very long article but it brought back memories. Until next time, deuces. c.2022.
