This topic is about how one see themselves no matter what they have, or haven’t been through. How one feel about themselves matters. Looking at herself in the mirror she began to cry. She had blemishes on her face which had been there all of her life. She often wondered if they would clear up and leave, but to no avail they never did. She tried everything she could, but nothing worked. She began to feel ugly and unattractive towards herself, and even hate how she looked.

Many days she would sit alone because of the way she felt. She didn’t socialize, hang out with friends, or go to functions for fear of being made fun of. She looked at magazines with models and celebrities wishing she looked like them. She hoped to one day be rich, famous, glamorous, and loved by all who saw her.

She decided to call a professional to see if they could help her change the way she looked, but after it was all said and done, she couldn’t afford what she needed to be done. She was furious even more! She didn’t know what else to do. After crying even more, she got up and went to look at herself in the mirror again. She stared at herself for hours trying to accept herself just as she was. She dried her tears and started to smile. She began to see that her blemishes weren’t so bad. She began to see that she was beautiful just the way she was. She began to love the way she looked. She accepted herself for who she was and loved herself again.

She didn’t care about what others said or thought about how she looked anymore. She looked at herself and said, “Hey Beautiful!” From that day forward, she never looked at herself differently again. C.2022 L.A.
