Looking at this picture, there are trees reflecting in the water as the sun shines in the blue sky and the white clouds lay softly there enjoying the atmosphere. Tree branches stretch out over the water almost touching it to receive a drink from it, as they reflect over the day’s past, and the new days to come. Whenever I reflect back over my life and all of the things that I have experienced over the years, my heart swells with joy and then sadness because of the things I have lost, and because of the things I have accomplished. Unlike trees, they grow forever until they are cut down, and they remain in the spot they are in, never moving, but ever being rooted and grounded where they sprung up. No two are the same, they are different, but they are family. Reflecting back over the lives of my family, there has always been differences between them all, but love has always been there in its own way expressed in its own way. Life is strange at some point because people change. No one stays the same. As to where trees always stay the same unless they are very old and cannot produce fruit that it produces; and people are the same way. Everyone has a biological clock that ticks and ticks because during that time it is time for reproduction, and when it stops ticking, you know that the time is over for reproduction, so we have to pay attention to the time when it is telling us that it is about to stop for that kind of thing. We move on in our life feeling unfulfilled because we did not accomplish the things such as that in our life. It also could have been because of some kind of health issue that prevented it from happening. Sometimes when we want something so bad and cannot have it, it hurts us for a very long time until we move on from it. We find things to do to occupy our time so boredom doesn’t set in. We cannot predict the future because it has not happened as of yet, but we are hopeful that it will be good. Trees doesn’t have to worry about anything except for growing and providing shelter for the birds and other animals who choose them to call them their home. They provide us shade in the Summer, wood for furniture and other things.
Reflecting back over the life that we live, we can see where we are, and we can see where we have come from and be thankful. Reflections are memories we make from the time we understand that we are in the world when we are old enough to know what life is. Has there ever been a time when we haven’t thought about something that has happened in our life that brought us happiness? Have we ever thought about the first time we experienced something that we were afraid of experiencing? Have we thought about the things that we want to have later on in life? When we reflect on those things, we have something to focus on to better ourselves, to lift our self-esteem, and boost our confidence. So, there is nothing wrong with thinking and reflecting on those things.
Reflecting can bring positivity, but it can also bring negativity. It all has to do with the way one thinks about things when they are reflecting back over their life. We cannot let the bad outweigh the good. We have to let the good outweigh the bad. The bad things are lessons that we learn from so we can do better, the good is the outcome from the right choices that we make.
When I look at the trees, I imagine myself standing strong rooted and grounded in the place I want to be forever not having a worry in the world. Not caring about all of the negativity that surrounds me on the outside. Remaining positive in the place that I am in for as long as I can be there.

Never would I have ever thought that I would have used trees to compare things in life by. What do you reflect about? What are your reflections that make you feel a certain type of way about things in life? Whatever they may be, just reflect and have happy thoughts that will make you smile. Until the sun shines again, see you later.
